The dangers inherent in firefighting operations were also underscored by the injuries sustained by two SCDF firefighters, who suffered burns during the operation. They were transported to Singapore General Hospital, with one firefighter having since been discharged and now recovering at home, as confirmed by an SCDF Facebook post update on August 1. Their bravery and sacrifice highlight the inherent risks associated with their duty, especially when vital equipment fails.
